The New New Left Alliance

The New New Left Alliance is standing in these elections to represent the interests of ordinary people - working and unemployed, healthy and ill, men and women, black and white. The official Labour Party has deprived its own supporters of a political voice. Labour has chosen to support profit for the rich, at the expense of the very people who voted them in at the last election.

The New Left Alliance 2011 stands for a fair deal and decent provision for everyone - not a continued Cameronite squeeze on those at the bottom of the ladder in order to provide a good life for those at the very top.

By political action within and outside the formal governmental process, working with trades unions and community and issue-based campaigns we will seek and strive to:

Promote open, participatory, honest and accountable democracy offering genuine choice.
Advance the interests of ordinary people and defend their interests against those with most wealth and power, including multi-national companies.
Promote socialist redistribution of wealth and power from the rich to ordinary people.
Defend the right of people to organise collectively at work and in their communities - locally, nationally and internationally.
Ensure civil and human rights for all and equality of rights and opportunities, and to prevent discrimination.
Promote and preserve a healthy and natural environment.
Promote a healthy and sustainable economy, benefiting those who contribute to it and those who need support.
Restore the opportunity for full employment as the basic aim of economic life.
Promote honest and fair international relations, and end international exploitation.
Work for peace and abolish nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction.
